Milk pricing is complicated. Most dairy farmers have under-standably been quite content to worry about producing milk and let the dairy plant worry about mar- keting it. And until the late 1990s, there wasn’t much dairy farmers could to about pricing or marketing their milk beyond selecting a plant to handle marketing.
