Million-dollar farms accounted for 59% of the value of milk production in 2006, and the larger five-million-dollar farms alone accounted for 27 percent of milk production, according to this new report from USDA’s Economic Research Service (ERS). In the report, million dollar farms are defined as those with annual sales of at least $1 million.
