monthly feed cost estimates for the 23-major producing states published by the Economic Research Service of USDA we calculate the
net return over total feed costs. The state-specific
All-Milk price is used as a measure of gross revenue.

A new data series has been added to our database that consists of the
difference between CME spot Block - Barrel prices. For April 2008 this average difference was $0.0816 compared to -$0.0517 in January.

When accessing a monthly data series, the default is to show data for the current year. One can display a bar graph with multiple year’s of data by clicking on the year on year button displayed above the actual data.

A new
spreadsheet model
has been added to the website’s collection of software that shows the impacts of California’s recent changes to the 4b pricing formulas. Simulated values over the 2005-2007 period are used to show these impacts.
