The November Class I mover is $21.45, a decrease of 14¢ from October but this still represents an increase of $9.05 from Nov. ‘06.

The Sept. Class III is $20.07 and increase of a whopping $7.78 from Sept. 2006.  The Sept. Class IV is $21.61, an increase of $10.51 from Sept. 2006.

California's Sept. 4b Price is $19.34

California’s Sept. 4b price is $19.34, down 7¢ from August, but a whopping increase of $7.47 from a year ago.  The Sept. 4a price is a record-high $21.62, as the California weighted monthly average NFDM price broke $2.00 for the first time

September Milk-Feed Price Ratio Increases to 3.21

The September Milk-Feed Price Ratio is 3.21, an increase from 2.61 a year ago.   The Sept. All-Milk Price hit a record-high $21.80.   The corn price dropped 7¢/bu. to $3.19 and alfalfa hay dropped $2.00/ton to $135.00.   This was countered by the rising price of soybeans which increased 62¢/bu. to $8.34.

The October Advanced Class I price decreased $0.32 to $21.59.  The October 2006 value was $12.42.

CME Blocks Drop 17.5 Cents for the Week

The CME block price dropped 13.75 cents on Friday which resulted in a week over week drop of 17.5 cents.   Barrel prices are now 8.5 cents higher than blocks.

The dramatic reduction in blocks and barrels continued today at the CME.  Blocks have lost 23.25¢ the last 3 trading days and barrels have fallen 20.25¢.

Cheese Prices Continue to Tumble

The CME spot price for cheddar blocks continue to decrease.  The $0.1125 drop yesterday was followed by another $0.06 drop today.

Whey Prices Contintue to Deceline

In the Midwest, dry whey is mostly 42.75 – 47.75¢ (-2.5¢ from a week ago) and in the West, dry whey is mostly 38 – 46¢ (-3.5¢ from the low range and -4.0¢ from the high range), according to USDA’s Dairy Market News.

Blocks at the CME spot market dropped 11.25¢ today to $2.0500 on an offer-based sale of 1 car.    Barrels dropped 4.25¢ .
